We turned a one-story Dyker Heights house into a two-story home: the old roof came off, a new second floor was framed and sheathed, and a new roof went on top.

Work included: Roof demolition · Second-floor structure & subfloor · Wall framing & sheathing · New roof framing & roofing.
The result is a full second story on the original footprint, framed, sheathed and under a new roof.
Scope of work
- Remove the entire existing roof, including roofing materials, plywood decking, and roof beams
- Construct a new second floor, including structural beams, floor joists, and plywood subfloor
- Frame the new second-floor exterior and interior walls and install exterior plywood sheathing
- Construct the new roof framing, install plywood roof decking, and install new roofing
- Remove demolition and construction debris upon completion
