The result is a two-story home with a rear extension, new roof, siding and windows, a covered front porch and a fully renovated interior.
Scope of work
- Remove the existing roof and demolish the walls, finishes, and other components necessary for the new layout
- Construct the rear addition, including foundation work, structural framing, floor joists, subfloor plywood
- Install the structural supports, beams, floor framing, subfloor plywood
- Build the new roof structure and install plywood sheathing, underlayment, shingles, flashing
- Frame new openings and install windows and exterior doors, including flashing, sealing, and exterior trim
- Install wall sheathing, weather barrier, siding, decorative façade accents, trim, soffits, fascia, gutters
- Construct the covered front porch, including its roof, supporting columns, finished ceiling, railings
- Frame the interior rooms, closets, door openings, and ceilings
- Install and modify electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, plumbing
- Install insulation, drywall, joint compound, and plaster finishes throughout the renovated areas
