A full roof replacement on a five-story Washington Heights walk-up: a new SBS torch-down system over the main roof and parapets, both bulkheads re-decked, re-roofed, stuccoed and coated, new bulkhead doors, a stairwell skylight and a new chimney cap.

A new roof on an occupied five-story building.
Work included: SBS torch-down roofing · Bulkhead re-roofing & decking · Bulkhead stucco & elastomeric · Bulkhead door replacement · Chimney cap & repair · Flashing & sealing.
The result is a continuous SBS system across the main roof, parapets and both bulkheads, with new doors, a new stairwell skylight and a new chimney cap.
Scope of work
- Install a new SBS torch-down roofing system over the entire roof, including the parapet walls
- Remove the existing roofing on both bulkheads, install new plywood roof decking, and install new roofing
- Apply new stucco to both bulkheads and finish with elastomeric coating
- Install a new chimney cap, repair the cement around the chimney, and finish with elastomeric coating
- After installing the SBS roofing, flash and seal all seams, penetrations, and roof connections
- Remove construction debris and clean the work areas upon completion
