Can plaster walls be repaired, or do they need to be replaced with drywall?
Most plaster can be repaired. We assess the extent of damage and recommend ceiling workwhen possible. Full replacement is only necessary when plaster is severely deteriorated.
How long does drywall installation take?
Installation is quick, but finishing takes time. Taping, mudding, and sanding require drying time between coats. A typical room takes 3-5 days to complete.
What causes plaster cracks?
Settlement, temperature changes, moisture, and age all contribute to plaster cracks. Small cracks are normal and easily repaired. Large or recurring cracks may indicate structural issues.
Can you match existing wall textures?
Yes. We can replicate most textures including knockdown, orange peel, and skip trowel finishes to blend repairs with existing walls.
What’s the difference between Interior Plaster & Drywall?
Plaster is a wet-applied material that hardens over time. It’s common in older homes and creates very hard, durable walls. Drywall is gypsum board that’s faster to install and easier to repair. Both can achieve smooth finishes.
